Le tabernacle<\/strong> est l\u2019endroit de l\u2019\u00c9glise o\u00f9 on conserve le ciboire contenant l\u2019Eucharistie.<\/p>\n

Cela fait du tabernacle le centre et le c\u0153ur palpitant de chaque \u00e9glise<\/strong>, le point de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour ceux qui s\u2019y rendent prier et adorer le corps du Christ m\u00eame en dehors des c\u00e9l\u00e9brations.<\/p>\n

Le terme tabernacle d\u00e9rive du latin \u00ab\u00a0tabernaculum<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb, diminutif de \u00ab\u00a0taberna\u00a0\u00bb. Sa signification est donc \u00ab\u00a0demeure\u00a0\u00bb, la maison de Dieu parmi les hommes<\/strong>, ce qui justifie la centralit\u00e9 r\u00e9serv\u00e9e au tabernacle au fil des si\u00e8cles.<\/p>\n

Il n\u2019\u00e9tait pas uniquement sens\u00e9 rappeler la pr\u00e9sence de Dieu, mais \u00e9galement d\u00e9montrer comme elle \u00e9tait proche, sous les yeux des fid\u00e8les, pr\u00e8s de leur vie de tous les jours. Le Tabernacle d\u2019autel<\/a><\/strong><\/span> nait de la tradition des premiers chr\u00e9tiens de conserver le pain b\u00e9nit dans leurs maisons, afin de pouvoir l\u2019adorer \u00e0 chaque instant et lui conf\u00e9rer une pr\u00e9sence constante dans la vie quotidienne.<\/p>\n

Autrefois, le tabernacle \u00e9tait situ\u00e9 au centre m\u00eame du presbyt\u00e8re<\/strong>, au-dessus de l\u2019autel principal, ou en tout cas dans une position centrale, o\u00f9 les fid\u00e8les pouvaient le voir constamment. Plus r\u00e9cemment, il semblerait avoir perdu cette position pr\u00e9\u00e9minente\u00a0: souvent il est plac\u00e9 sur une colonne un peu \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart ou m\u00eame en dehors du presbyt\u00e8re, dans une chapelle ou sur un autel lat\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n

Pourtant, ce changement ne d\u00e9note pas une perte de valeur du tabernacle pour les fid\u00e8les d\u2019un point de vue symbolique. Si le fait d\u2019\u00e9loigner le tabernacle de l\u2019autel peut sembler affaiblir l\u2019expression symbolique du Myst\u00e8re du Sacrifice, en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 il permet aux fid\u00e8les de trouver dans une contemplation plus intime et priv\u00e9e du tabernacle un parcours int\u00e9rieur plus profond et recueilli.<\/p>\n

Le choix de la position du tabernacle d\u2019autel ne porte donc pas pr\u00e9judice \u00e0 sa valeur<\/strong>. Il reste un objet d\u2019importance fondamentale pour l\u2019adoration des fid\u00e8les et le symbole m\u00eame de la pr\u00e9sence de Dieu et du renouvellement de son sacrifice d\u2019amour dans chaque \u00e9glise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
