L\u2019adoration du <strong>Sacr\u00e9 C\u0153ur de J\u00e9sus<\/strong> naquit \u00e0 la fin du haut Moyen \u00c2ge par l\u2019\u0153uvre de mystiques allemands et connut un d\u00e9veloppement ult\u00e9rieur pendant le XVII si\u00e8cle gr\u00e2ce, entre autres, \u00e0 la Compagnie de J\u00e9sus.<\/p>\n<p>Elle fit \u00e9galement l\u2019objet de discussions et diatribes th\u00e9ologiques. Certains voyaient dans la <strong>d\u00e9votion du Sacr\u00e9 C\u0153ur de J\u00e9sus <\/strong>une manifestation d\u2019idol\u00e2trie, en tant qu\u2019objet devenu chaire, enti\u00e8rement li\u00e9 \u00e0 la corporalit\u00e9. Pour d\u2019autres, il \u00e9tait \u00e9vident qu\u2019il s\u2019agissait d\u2019une valeur purement symbolique, de son \u00eatre, la repr\u00e9sentation de l\u2019amour du Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Source de discussion fut aussi l\u2019apparition de J\u00e9sus \u00e0 Sainte Marguerite-Marie Alacoque. J\u00e9sus aurait communiqu\u00e9 \u00e0 Sainte Marguerite la \u00ab\u00a0Grande promesse\u00a0\u00bb: tous ceux qui se seraient confess\u00e9s, en \u00e9tat de gr\u00e2ce, le premier vendredi des neufs mois suivants, auraient obtenu le pardon de tous leurs p\u00e9ch\u00e9s. De l\u00e0 naquit la tradition d\u00e9votionnelle des \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Premiers neuf vendredis du mois<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>La f\u00eate du Sacr\u00e9 C\u0153ur est n\u00e9e en France autour de 1672, mais fut ensuite reconnue par l\u2019\u00c9glise enti\u00e8re. Elle est c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e entre le 29 mai et le 2 juillet selon la date de P\u00e2ques.
