When speaking of Confirmation symbols, we must distinguish between the gestures and elements actually employed during the ceremony\u2014such as the chrism used for anointing the candidates or the laying on of hands<\/strong>\u2014and the signs of Confirmation<\/strong><\/a>, those symbolic elements that embody the deepest meaning of the rite: the Holy Spirit, Fire, <\/strong>the Seal, <\/strong>and the Dove<\/strong>. The Signs of Confirmation<\/h2>\n
