While still engaged and about to travel to Medjugorje on a private pilgrimage, they were involved in a terrible car accident in which Alessandro\u2019s father lost his life. Both devastated by the traumatic experience, they forced themselves to react and got married, working together to carry on Alessandro\u2019s father\u2019s business\u2014distributing fruit and vegetables. Just a few months later, the Chernobyl nuclear disaster also devastated this part of their lives. Cinzia and Alessandro had nothing left but to seek refuge and comfort in prayer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It was during this terrible period that their passion for the Rosary<\/strong> was born, nurtured by Don Nello and Sister Pia, their spiritual guides. From there, the step towards creating rosaries<\/strong> was remarkably short\u2014almost natural. It was a way of responding to the tragedies<\/strong> that had befallen them, to recognise a higher beauty even in Pain. No matter how bad things got, they knew\u2014felt\u2014that someone was watching over them<\/strong>.
