Jubilee of Priests 2025: When the Church Rediscovers Itself and Begins to Walk Again<\/h4>\n

For the faithful around the world, and especially for priests, that moment has a name: Jubilee<\/strong><\/a>. Among the many events that will mark the Holy Year, from 25 to 27 June<\/strong>, Rome will be transformed into an altar open to the heavens. Its basilicas will welcome presbyters from every corner of the earth\u2014brothers in ministry, guardians of a mystery that transcends the centuries.
\nIt will not be a conference. It will not be merely an event. It will be a journey of faith, a return home. It will be the Jubilee of Priests<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Programme of the Jubilee of Priests<\/h2>\n

The programme for Jubilee 2025<\/strong> opens with gentle steps\u2014those of the seminarians<\/strong>, who on 23 June<\/strong> will arrive at the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls like sons approaching the Father\u2019s house.
\nThere they will be welcomed with song and light, with the recitation of the Rosary and a concert directed by Monsignor Frisina. A luminous vigil for those still journeying towards the altar.<\/p>\n

The following day, 24 June<\/strong>, they will pass through the Holy Door of Saint Peter\u2019s Basilica<\/strong><\/a>, guided by the voice of Pope Leo XIV<\/strong>. It will be their first official pilgrimage, made up of catecheses and Masses celebrated in the churches of Rome, in every language of the world, like seeds scattered by the wind.<\/p>\n

But the heart of the Jubilee of Priests begins on 25 June<\/strong>. It is the day when the arms of the Mother Church open to embrace bishops and priests<\/strong>. In the majestic quiet of the Constantine Wing, pastors from afar will gather, ready to cross the Holy Door and celebrate, at 10:30 am, the Eucharist at the Altar of the Chair<\/strong>, beneath the vault of Saint Peter\u2019s.
\nThen, the afternoon becomes intimate and communal: in the churches of Rome, catecheses specific to language and origin, gatherings for words and listening, questions and blessings. Small cenacles scattered across the streets of Rome.<\/p>\n

The next day, Thursday 26 June<\/strong>, is perhaps the most intense.
\nAt 9:30 am, the Eucharistic Celebration in the Basilica of Saint John Lateran<\/strong>, presided over by Cardinal Lazzaro You, ignites the heart of the day.
\nThen begins the pilgrimage. A slow and silent journey to the four Papal Basilicas<\/strong><\/a>.
\nFrom 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, amidst confessions and walking, the priests become pilgrims of mercy<\/strong>, bearers of the forgiveness they daily administer to others.
\nAnd finally, the evening.
\nA vocational vigil<\/strong> in Saint Peter\u2019s Square, under the Roman sky, led by Monsignor Fisichella.

And then comes Friday 27 June<\/strong>. The day of the Heart.
\nThe Most Sacred Heart of Jesus<\/strong>, a feast deeply loved by presbyters, seals the Jubilee with a celebration filled with the scent of beginnings.
\nIn Saint Peter\u2019s Square<\/strong>, Pope Leo XIV will preside over the Mass and the presbyteral ordinations<\/strong>.
\nThe Church looks into the mirror: priests renewing their consecration, and young men saying that definitive yes for the first time.
\nA bridge of outstretched hands between those who have walked and those just beginning.<\/p>\n

But the Jubilee of Priests does not end with its dates. It does not live only in the programme. It lives in glances, in handshakes, in whispered words between pews, in tears shared before the Tabernacle.
\nEach priest will be called to bring his own story, his struggles, his hidden victories, his sleepless nights.
\nAnd in return he will receive the strength of the \u201cwe\u201d: that invisible communion which makes of many men one single Body.
\nSolidarity<\/strong> also becomes part of the journey: a symbolic contribution of \u20ac50\u2014not mandatory, but strongly encouraged\u2014will help enable the participation of poorer seminarians.
\nA small seed of love, blossoming in another life.<\/p>\n

Registrations for the Jubilee events are still open until 20 April 2025 through the official website.
\nEntry to celebrations is free; to concelebrate, one simply needs to register with the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Pope.<\/p>\n
