To ascertain the location of the burial place of the saint and recognize the relics, extensive excavations and analyses were made. It is one of the largest masonry works and combines Renaissance and Baroque styles. It follows in large part the <strong>drawing of Michelangelo Buonarroti<\/strong>, who worked there until the year of his death.
